Bakhtiyar Mamedov, better known by his creative pseudonym Jah Khalib, was born in Kazakhstan to a family of Azerbaijanis. He studied at a school with an English bias, and in 2005 he entered a music school, where he learned to play the saxophone.
As a teenager, Bakhtiar became interested in rap music. When Mamedov was 12 years old, there was a national conflict in the country, and the Mamedovs were left homeless. For several years, the family lived in a small summer house.
Mamedov studied at the Department of Musicology and Management of the Kazakh National Kurmangazy Conservatory. At that time, he began performing with Kazakhstani performers as a beatmaker.
The creative path of Bakhtiyar Mammadov
In 2013, Bakhtiar took the pseudonym Jah Khalib. In 2014-2015, he recorded several tracks and distributed them on social networks. In 2016, Mammadov released his first solo album "If anything, I'm Baja. In total, until 2018, the singer released 4 albums and 6 music videos.
In 2017, Jah Khalib gave a candid interview to Yuri Dud on his video channel "Vdud".
