BDC Capital is the venture capital subsidiary of Bank of Canada and has been in operations since 1975. The firm is headquartered in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. As of October 2019, it is managing a portfolio of 134 companies and has sold off its stakes in 69 companies. BDC Capital offers funding for companies from the early to growth stage, operating in the information technology, energy, cleantech, and healthcare sector.
