Andrew McCollum is an American entrepreneur and businessman who has co-founded several companies including Facebook and Philo.
Background and Education
McCollum was born in California and attended Harvard University in 2004. He eventually earned a Bachelor's of Computer Science from there. He later attended the Harvard Graduate School of Education in 2010 where he earned a Master's in Mind, Brain, and Education.
In 2004, McCollum was attending college at Harvard when he was approached by Mark Zuckerberg to create the design logo for Facebook. He was a part of the company until 2006, when he decided to return to Harvard to complete his Bachelor's degree. In 2014, he startedthe company Philo, a live-streaming television service for college students. He partnered with Tuan Ho to start Philo and their original idea was to provide a service to stream TV on college campuses. With this company, he regularly meets with entertainment partners and investors to expand the Philo services.
