The Accord Project is a non-profit organization based out of New York City, New York, and was founded in July 2017 by Houman B. Shadab and Peter Hunn. The Accord Project is the legal industry's first consortium for enforceable smart contracts. It aims to create open-source tools and standards towards revolutionizing the nature of legal contracts. The Accord Project is separated into distinct groups that focus on creating frameworks for enforceable legal contracts in several business areas which include: supply chain, real estate, construction, financial services, venture capital, and token sales. Accord Project is in collaboration with Hyperledger, IACCM, Clio.DIF, Open Identity Exchange, and Trusted IoT Alliance.
