Avebe is a food company headquartered out of Veendam, Netheralnds, that was initially founded in 1919 as the Aardapplemeel Verkoop Bureau' (Potato starch Sales,) and was responsible for selling starch produce for local farming cooperatives. In 1971, the sales office merged with the farming co-operatives factories, and now Avebe is an international co-operative with over 2500 Dutch and German members.
