The network began in 1993 with six grocery stores in Dnepropetrovsk. The company is owned in equal shares by three Dnepropetrovsk businessmen: the founders of the Agrotechbusiness group - Gennady Butkevich, Evgeny Ermakov and Viktor Karachun.
In 1998, the management decided to introduce a self-service system in stores. In 2001, the shops with a counter were reformatted into supermarkets and named "ATB". Since then, the company has positioned itself as a network of discounters - stores with a wide range of goods at prices below the market average.
