About the series
The Boys is an American superhero series created by Eric Kripke based on the comic book of the same name by Garth Ennis and Derick Robertson. All eight episodes of the first season premiered on July 26, 2019 on Amazon Prime Video. The story takes place in a world where superheroes are world celebrities and belong to the corporation "Vout International". But behind the ideal facade of heroic roles, most heroes are not the most pleasant people in life. To control superheroes, the CIA creates a special squad "Boys", whose harsh members are always ready to put the arrogant hero in his place in the most cruel way.
