Sante Ventures

Santé Ventures is a venture capital firm established in 2006 by Kevin M. Lalande and Joe Cunningham. The firm is headquartered in Austin, Texas. As of June 2019, Santé Ventures has sold off its ownership in 22 companies and is managing its stakes in 17 companies. It prefers to fund companies operating in the life sciences field, at the early stage of development.

In 2011, Sante Ventures announced raising $139 million for their second venture capital fund for investing in healthcare and medical technology companies. The firms second fund received funding from 17 investors. Notable companies receiving investments from Sante Ventures second fund include: BAROnova, TVA Medical, and EndoStim.

On May 29, 2019 Sante Venture announced raising $250 million for their third venture capital fund which will focus on investing in healthcare and life science companies. The fund received commitments from more than 30 limited partners, most notably the Pennsylvania Public School Retirement System (PSERS). The fund will be used to make approximately 20-25 investments in primarily seed to series B stage startup companies.
