Royal Never Give Up, often abbreviated as RNG, is a Chinese professional esports organization. The club is well known for its League of Legends squad.
On September 13th, 2018, the club announced their first Dota 2 squad: Royal Never Give Up[1]. In about one month, their second squad Royal is established without public statement.
Timeline
2018
September 13th - The team roster is registered: Monet, Setsu, Srf, ah fu and 343.[2] The organization announces that they have reached a settlement with LGD Gaming regarding a transfer dispute.
September 15th - Apart from the five registered players, xy joins as the reserve mid player. Mikasa is the coach of the team.
November 5th - 343 leaves. September joins the team (from the youth training squad).
2019
February 16th - Mad becomes sub, while LaNm joins as position 5.
March 19th - Royal Never Give Up announces changes in the team's roster.ah fu moves to position 5 while LaNm takes his place.
April 14th - Flyby joins from Royal while Srf moves to Royal. Coach Super is promoted to the main squad. Coach Mikasa leaves the team.
September 14th - LaNm leaves to coach Keen Gaming.
September 18th - dogf1ghts joins.
September 20th - ah fu is replaced by Fenrir.
November 20th - Super and September are registered, replacing dogf1ghts and Fenrir.
2020
July 10th - In a player swap with Sparking Arrow Gaming, September is transferred for FelixCiaoBa.
August 26th - Monet is transferred to Team Aster.
September 8th - A new roster is announced; 圣子华炼 and Srf joins the team while Flywin is transferred to Sparking Arrow Gaming.
December 23rd - Srf is replaced by Flyby.[
2021
March 18th - Setsu goes inactive due to health issue, Dstones joins the team.
May 28th - Super is transferred for RedPanda from Elephant.
November 11th - Super rejoins the team.
November 20th - Somnus丶M, Chalice and xNova join the team, Super becomes the coach while Dstones and Flyby move to Sparking Arrow Gaming.
November 21st - RedPanda is transferred to Aster.Aries.
