Ritsumeikan University

Ritsumeikan University is a private educational institute that operates within the education, higher education, and university industries. The university was founded in 1899 and is based in Kyoto, Japan.

Having the motto "Beyond Borders", Ritsumeikan University is accredited by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan and the Japan University Accreditation Association. The institution is also known by its alias 立命館大学 and is affiliated with the Open Education Consortium.
