In June 2008, Manny Pacquiao entered the ring against WBC world lightweight champion David Diaz. Pacquiao dominated the entire fight. At the end of the 9th round, he threw a right jab, and then held a short counter left hook to the jaw. The American fell to the canvas. The referee immediately stopped the fight. Diaz lay on the floor for about a minute.
