Abstract

Impossible Objects (IO) in collaboration with Missouri University of Science and Technology proposes a fundamentally new approach to AM called Composite Based Additive Manufacturing (CBAM). CBAM is superior because it uses well-developed 2D-printing techniques to do 3D printing. Leveraging time-tested technologies to achieve fast production rates, CBAM’s process is scalable to high production speeds 50x other AM technologies.
