Globus is a grocery hypermarket chain founded in 1828.

The stores of this chain are represented in Germany (47 stores), the Czech Republic (15 stores) and in Russia (19 stores).
The company was founded in 1828 by Franz Bruch (1801-1865). The first grocery store was opened in the German city of St. Wendel. In 1905, the delivery of goods to the nearest villages was organized. Since 1911, cars have been used for these purposes. In 1945, Franz Bruch's great-grandchildren, Walter and Franz Josef, opened the first stores in Germany. The name "Globus" began to be used in 1966.
In 1996, a store was opened in the Czech Republic. In 2006 in Russia.
Globus Group of companies also includes building materials stores - Globus Baumarkt (79 stores in Luxembourg, Germany and the Czech Republic) and consumer electronics stores Alpha-Tecc (9 stores in Germany).
Currently, the company is headed by Thomas Bruch, the fifth representative of the Bruch dynasty.
