Feyenoord is a professional football club in Rotterdam, Netherlands founded in 1908.
In the 2020/21 season, the club took 5th place in the Eredivisie, the highest division of the Netherlands.
The club received its current name in 1973 in order to simplify reading by foreigners.
Originally called "Vilhelmina" Rotterdam, soon after its foundation it was renamed "Hilleslace", then "Celeritas", until in 1912 the team was named Feijenoord after the Rotterdam district.
