Rosseti FGC UES is a Russian energy company whose main activity is the transmission of electricity through the Unified National Electric Grid (UNES) of Russia. In this type of activity, the company is a subject of a natural monopoly. The company's electric grid facilities are located in 78 regions with a total area of 15.1 million square kilometers. In the area of responsibility of the Federal Grid Company there are 149 thousand km of high-voltage main transmission lines and 889 substations with a total capacity of more than 352 gigawatts. Half of Russia's total energy consumption is provided by electricity transmitted through the networks of Rosseti FGC UES.
