Enso Finance

Enso was started from an experience that most of us share: having a friend who is really good at finding alpha, be it in new tokens, undervalued tokens, or high-yielding farms.

Typically we would pool funds with the friend, which led to a massive coordination effort, numerous Google Sheets, and calculations and recalculations of everyone’s shares. So the question for us was why not simply do it all permissionless on-chain and put your Crypto in a joint strategy?

Socializing your DeFi trading experience

One such application is being able to create trading strategies with endless possibilities and share the alpha with your friends and the Enso community. Creating any possible combination of DeFi Legos, building strategies of strategies, and yield farming at the same time, all combined with a fun and engaging social experience is at the core of Enso Finance.

Enso and DeFi 2.0

Projects such as OlympusDAO, Tokemak, Fei, and Alchemix have started to alter the relationship between a protocol and its liquidity providers. As a result, Protocol Controlled Value (PCV) has changed how projects create value for their community and manage the longevity of the project. The Enso platform enables DeFi 2.0 protocols, Strategists, DAOs and Syndicates to develop new and even more efficient ways of capital deployment. It does this by having the flexibility to steer liquidity to the most needed bonds, while yield-farming any unused funds at the same time.

Features for DAOs

Investment DAOs can further open up their portfolios to an even wider community of participants. The community can participate in a DAO-built strategy which gives the participants exposure to all the Projects the DAO has invested in by investing directly into the strategy or buying the strategy token on a secondary market.

We couldn’t really come up with a good name for the last set of applications. The best way to describe it would be as Einstein would say:

“Imagination is more important than knowledge, for knowledge is limited, whereas imagination embraces the entire world, stimulating progress, giving birth to evolution.”

With the Enso platform, users will get the tools to create new DeFi primitives that will form interactions with other protocols to generate alpha and generate yields that go beyond the realm of social trading alone.

What’s in store for the future?

As we have for the past year, we will continue to build and improve Enso to offer the best possible product to the community and users. Below is a short glimpse of Enso’s future roadmap and things to come:

Open DeFi recipes

We quickly realized that one of the main limitations in DeFi is that you can only scale through integrations. This race for integrations does not make sense in the long run. That’s why the platform’s future is going to be even more open by enabling anyone to create DeFi recipes without the need for integrations.

Further build out of platform social features

We are taking social interaction functionalities on the platform to the next level, creating even more interaction possibilities between the users and the community, and building trust and reputation in the process. One example of this is a “social score” with full communication between users of the platform.

Gamification

Competition is always good fun. Crucially, though, it provides opportunities for improving performance and can help the community in finding the next Meta Strategist that will have a unique source of alpha.

NFTs and the Metaverse

We do not want to give away too much at this point, but we have lined up some nice surprises for the community and supporters. A sneak peek can be seen in an old tweet of ours.

Data and analytics

Many of the Beta testers hinted at the wish to have a deeper analytics stack to analyze their strategies, so they will get access to all the data they need to crunch out new alpha.
