He made the final of the 100 free, placing 8th (48.90) after swimming a personal best of 48.33 in the semi finals. He also placed 17th in the 200 free (1:47.26). Correia’s biggest role may have been on Brazil’s relays. In the 4×100 free, Correia threw down a personal best of 47.97 on the anchor leg in Brazil’s 6th place showing.
