They have also designed options for a horizontal take-off and landing reusable launch vehicle aircraft such as their air-breathing turbine rocket engine. Their engines use a flat fuselage and delta wing configuration for aerodynamic lift, and to reduce oxidizer consumption for obtaining low-Earth orbit. This winged design also allows for an aircraft to glide in the event of a power failure.
